How it works

How GCC Car Deals works

GCC Car Deals lines up live car listings from Qatar, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, so you can see where the same car is cheap to buy and dear to sell. This page explains how the numbers are built, and what we treat as a fact and what we mark as an estimate.

One car, three markets, three prices. The Dealer Terminal shows where a car is cheapest to buy and dearest to sell across Qatar, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Pick a car, see the spread between markets, then your estimated margin after the GCC tariff and shipping.

One car, three markets

We collect listings from each market's car sites and group the same make, model, year and trim across all three. For each market we work out the typical price, the middle one rather than the average, so you compare like with like and one odd ad does not skew the picture.

The gap between markets

A gap is the difference between a car's typical price in a cheaper market, where you might buy, and a dearer one, where you might sell. We show a gap only when it passes a real test: enough comparable cars on each side, a positive difference once mileage and trim are matched, and an automatic check that the cars are genuinely the same, not a base trim set against a loaded one.

Facts and estimates

Typical prices in each market and the cheapest credible listing are facts, traceable to live ads. Converting a gap to dollars uses the official currency peg, so the converted figure is an estimate. Currency, listing duration from removed ads and landing costs are all marked as estimates and never presented as a promised result. A removed ad does not confirm a sale.

Sourced factA figure worked out from live listings.

EstimateAn assumption, such as currency or landing costs. Always shown with a dashed border.

Confidence and bad data

Every gap and every typical price in a report or the free preview shows how many comparable cars it rests on. Before anything is worked out we remove prices that are plainly wrong for the model, such as a deposit or a monthly instalment entered as a sale price, so one junk number cannot create a false opportunity. Thin samples are shown as thin.

Freshness and checks

Listings change quickly, so the data is refreshed regularly and each figure shows when it was last checked. A verified badge means we confirmed the compared cars are the same vehicle, so the gap can be trusted rather than being a trim mismatch.
